I saw this cool little device on a website for wedding photographers called flashflavor.com and I was interested in making it because I already had one of those universal flat brackets that I wasn’t using. So this would be the cheapest method I’ve found to make a double flash bracket. I also already had a universal umbrella stand and the clips to hold the strobes. Even if you don’t have any of these pieces you can still make this for about $40.

Why two flashes? Well you can set both flashes to manual mode and set them to a lower power setting like a 1/4 power and you get double the flash power (1/2 power) with the added benefits of faster recycle time and longer battery life.
