DIY Lens!

I spent today hacking a weird, cheap four-lens point and shoot film camera onto my SLR. Thanks to the increased focal length, it only works as a crazy weird macro lens. The only alterations I made to these photos was to up the contrast and down the saturation the tiniest bit.

DIY Macro

For these macro photos, I constructed my own macro lens by gaffer taping together my 70-300 telephoto lens together with my 28-80 lens. The 70-300 lens was attached to the camera as it would be normally. The 28-80 lens was reversed and attached to the front of the 70-300 lens (ie the front of the 28-80 was gaffered to the front of the 70-300). To focus, I had to hold the lens less than a centimetre away from the subject.
